Connecting Nordic clean-tech thinking with African solar opportunity — through insight, relationships, and action.
"Stories that power change."
We create content that informs, inspires, and opens meaningful conversations around solar energy and sustainable development across the Nordic–Africa corridor.
We connect the right people, ideas, and opportunities across borders. Through the Solardey Network, we facilitate introductions and relationships that wouldn't happen otherwise.
For companies and institutions ready to act, we provide selected on-the-ground support. We help serious initiatives move with more clarity, confidence, and local context.

Prosper Emegoakor is the founder of Solardey — a Nordic–Africa solar dialogue platform — and host of The Solardey Podcast. Based in Malmö, Sweden, with roots in Nigeria, he is currently pursuing solar installation engineering at KYH, with a focus on PV systems, battery storage, and utility-scale solar. He holds solar energy training from New York University and is a certified solar installer trained at Nercia Academy.
Before solar, Prosper built and led ventures across construction, fashion, and retail in Sweden. He co-founded Kenze, a Swedish construction company with a deliberate hiring philosophy — bringing on foreigners building their lives in Sweden. He also founded Akụkọ (Igbo for "storytelling"), a brand of African-inspired bamboo socks celebrating Afro-diaspora identity — a project that grew into Afro Urban Store at Emporia Shopping Centre in Malmö, a first-of-its-kind retail space for Afro diaspora entrepreneurs and small brands.
Across every venture, one instinct has guided the work: see who's missing from the conversation, then build them a seat at the table. That same instinct now sits at the heart of Solardey.
With over a decade in entrepreneurship across two continents, Prosper sees solar as the most democratic, scalable, and resilient energy source we have — and Solardey as the platform to move those conversations from air to action.
"Energy is dignity. Energy is opportunity. Energy is independence."
— Nze Prosper Emegoakor
Turning research and technology into usable insights for practitioners, investors, and communities navigating the energy transition.
Linking Nordic innovation and systems thinking with African energy realities — not as a top-down transfer, but as a genuine two-way exchange.
Engaging households, communities, and individuals in the energy conversation — because the transition only works if it works for people.
Creating space for researchers, entrepreneurs, skeptics, and advocates alike — because honest conversation moves things further than preaching to the converted.
Where relevant, we provide selected on-the-ground support for companies, institutions, and partners exploring renewable energy opportunities across Africa. Our field verification and on-site support start in Nigeria — where our roots and networks run deepest — and expand to other African markets in stages.
For Nordic companies entering Nigerian markets — and Nigerian actors exploring Nordic partnerships or technology.
Local validation of potential collaborators, vendors, and partners on the ground in Nigeria.
From idea to first-project execution with trusted connections and context at each step.

Solar Stories is a YouTube series that visits homes, farms, and businesses that have made the switch to solar — and lets the people who live with it tell the story themselves. Episodes are filmed in Sweden and Nigeria, because the contexts differ and that difference is exactly what makes the stories worth telling side by side. The first episodes launch this season.
Solardey operates across the Nordic–Africa corridor, with primary focus on Sweden and Nigeria. The team produces content, builds cross-border partnerships, and provides advisory services connecting these two markets. The areas of expertise include solar energy, distributed energy systems, energy access, clean-tech partnerships, and Nordic–Africa market building.
Solardey offers selected advisory services for companies and institutions exploring renewable energy opportunities in Nigeria. This includes market entry advisory, partner and field verification, pilot facilitation, and business development support. Reach out at prosper@solardey.com to discuss collaboration.
